Claudiu and Simona, along with three other Belgians, were badly burned in Spain in August 2019 when one of them’s boat exploded. They were taken to the burns center in Neder-Over-Heembeek, where it turned out that 60 to 70 percent of their bodies had been burned. After several weeks in a coma, Claudiu has been up for several months medium care.
