Bad Bunny to Headline Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show
Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny will headline the super Bowl 60 halftime show, Apple Music announced during halftime of “Sunday Night Football.” The performance will mark a historic moment, elevating the global Latin music superstar to the stage of one of the world’s most-watched entertainment events.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is a dominant force in music, ranking as the third-most-played artist on Spotify in 2024. Known as the “King of Latin Trap” for his Spanish-language raps, he brings a unique sound and cultural influence to the Super Bowl stage. “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. He added, “This is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”
The Super Bowl 60 halftime show will take place on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers, and will be broadcast on NBC and Peacock.Bad Bunny follows Kendrick Lamar, who headlined the most recent super Bowl and became the first rapper to do so as a solo act, drawing a record-breaking 133.5 million viewers.
