On the return to school on September 14, the former premier Matteo Renzi sides with the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina. “Reopening the schools – says the leader of Italia Viva – is not a technical fact: it is the first choice of a community worthy of the name”.
Do serological tests
“I – continues Matteo Renzi in his Enews – I said it in March and they took me for mad, remember? But distance learning is not enough, not enough, not enough. Children need to go back to school, with serological tests (he also supported it in April, ed), with all the checks but at school! I think it is time to stop the controversy and give everyone a hand to the Government so that the goal is achieved “.
“Training – concluded Renzi – is the real challenge of our country: school, university, research”.
Exams on a voluntary basis only
It should be remembered, however, that the serological tests, starting from 24 August, they are not mandatory for teachers, Ata staff and school managers. While for the students they will carry out tests to verify the Covid-19 infection only with the sample mode. And always after the consent of the families or of the students themselves, if of age.
Azzolina: going back to school is essential
On the same day, Minister Lucia Azzolina, in an interview with The Republic, right on the reopening he gave the unions saboteurs, to then remember that it will be implemented in two phases: on 1 September for those who have to recover and on 14 for everyone, “except Calabria, Puglia and Sardinia, which have decided to reopen after the elections. Going back to school is especially important for children from fragile families. Not doing so would mean leaving them on the street: crime and mafias are waiting for nothing else ”.
