The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) announced the schedules and channels for the return to basic education classes for primary and secondary students, which will take place from Monday, August 24, after the covid-19 pandemic in Mexico.

Through Multimedios Televisión, Televisa, Televisión Azteca and Grupo Imagen The classes will be broadcast, this as part of the “Aprende en Casa II” program.

Channel eleven, Televisa and Televisión Azteca they will transmit the contents aimed at preschool and elementary school students.

High school students will be able to take their classes at Imagen Televisión and Ingenio Televisión.

Regarding high school students in Multimedia Television and Ingenio Televisión They will be in charge of disseminating the contents for high school students.

The schedules were designed so that families with several students can take their classes without interfering with those of other grades and levels.

Preschool

Primary

The SEP has 13 million 972 thousand 269 students registered in primary school, who will take classes on television or radio.

In this school year, students will receive the Healthy Living subject for the first time.

High school

In addition to the previous classes, the SEP will organize classes for parents at different times and with a duration of half an hour.

Esteban Moctezuma explained that in total eight pre-school subjects, 10 primary subjects and 12 secondary subjects will be covered.

He stressed that the Mexican educational system has acted well in the face of the pandemic.

“In the face of the pandemic, Mexico is one of the countries that has responded with the greatest agility, they are solutions that are imposed by necessity and that is why we do not want to make the mistake of many countries that have returned to classes and have exposed the children to infections that make them return to the closures, “he said.

He specified that there will be conferences to resolve doubts about the subjects to be taught in the programming, which will be held from August 17 to 22

Monday August 17 will be for initial, preschool and special education; Tuesday August 18, second and third of primary school; Wednesday August 19, high school; Thursday, August 20, fourth and fifth grade; Friday, August 21, sixth and first year of secondary school; Saturday August 22, second, third year of secondary school and indigenous education.
