The nursery rhyme Baby Shark Dance is now the most watched video on YouTube ever. The video was clicked over 7 billion times this morning. This makes the previous number 1, the summer hit from 2017 Slowly, outdated. That video also has more than 7 billion views, but was about 2 million behind this morning Baby Shark.
Baby Shark gained popularity in 2016 from the video a South Korean kids’ channel posted to YouTube, but the campfire song about a shark family is decades old. The lyrics are very simple, but the tune lingers for a long time.
