Baby died in head-on collision with ambulance in Germany | Abroad | News

In an accident between an ambulance and a passenger car, a baby died on Monday afternoon in Emmerich, Germany. More occupants were seriously injured in the accident. A number of victims are in mortal danger.

A 32-year-old woman ended up on the wrong side of the road at around 3.50 pm for unknown reasons L7 road between Emmerich (North Rhine-Westphalia) and Kleve, two towns not far from the Dutch border. The car hit head-on into an ambulance arriving from Kleve.

In addition to fire brigade and police, two trauma helicopters were deployed. The doctors flown in were unable to prevent a baby from dying at the scene of the accident. At least two other injured people have been rushed to hospital.
