Baby died after falling from the 29th floor: tragedy in New York

A 3-year-old boy has died after falling from the 29th floor balcony of an apartment building in Harlem today.said the New York police.

The tragic incident occurred around 11:10 a.m. in a skyscraper on Third Avenue between East 122nd and 123rd Streets. According to NYPD, the baby fell from the 29th floor in the Taino Towers residential complex and landed on a 5th floor scaffolding.

The unidentified child initially survived. He was rushed critically injured to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after, at 11:31 a.m. Preliminary reports indicate the boy’s fall was accidental, he said. New York Post.

But officers were trying to determine how the boy fell and if he was with an adult at the time, a spokeswoman said. -Never allow children to play near elevator shafts or on fire escapes, balconies, terraces or roofs. Nor that they are unsupervised in the corridors of buildings that have unattended windows.
-Call 311 to report unattended hallway windows.
