Prague During Thursday’s parliamentary interpellations, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO) supported the idea of Dominika Feri (TOP 09) for the government to explain measures to limit the spread of covid-19 in an understandable form. Feri pointed out that restrictions are written in legal language and can cause difficulties of interpretation. He thinks that a website should be created, on which it would be described humanely and with specific examples.

“It certainly has my support,” Babiš said, offering Feri a meeting. According to the prime minister, it would be good to “humanize” communication with the public. But Babiš also stated that they are not able to solve something like this at the government office.

The prime minister acknowledged that communication over a new type of coronavirus was a weakness of the government, but said he was doing better. He pointed to the twitter account of the Minister of Health Roman Prymula (for YES). “He answers questions and has the best of all ministers,” he said. Babiš also praised Feri’s information on Instagram. “What you did, (Minister of Education Robert) Plaga (for YES) should have done,” Babiš said.
The Prime Minister also faced a request from the chairman of the STAN movement, Vít Rakušan, to publish data on the infection and other government plans. “You want us to say in advance what will happen. Nobody knows, “Babiš commented.
