“We have only one condition: the Armenian armed forces must unconditionally, completely, and immediately leave our land,” Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said in a speech, as quoted AFP.

If the Armenian government is willing to comply with the request, Ilham said it would end fighting and rebuild the region.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told Russian TV channels, Russia 1 that his country had committed to negotiating the resolution but Armenia was blocking the process.

“The Armenian prime minister has publicly stated that Karabakh is (part of) Armenia, period. In this regard, what kind of negotiation process can we talk about,” Aliev said. Associated Press, Wednesday (30/9).

He added that according to the principles of the Minsk group, in order to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, this region should be transferred to Azerbaijan.

The Minsk Group founded in 1992 is the Organization for European Security and Cooperation.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan said it was very difficult to talk about negotiations when military operations were underway in the region.
