Avry-Tunnel in Freiburg
A mobile home had an accident on the A12 motorway near Avry-devant-Pont FR on Friday afternoon. A family with three children got away with a shock.

A 51-year-old Italian driver was accompanied by a 45-year-old woman and three boys aged 5, 8 and 12 with a motorhome on the A12 from Châtel-St-Denis in the direction of Freiburg. Shortly before the Avry tunnel he was in the right lane when he collided with the right guardrail due to inattention.

The vehicle climbed the guardrail before tipping over on its left side. The motorhome skidded a few meters and then came to a stop in the middle of the tunnel, blocking both lanes.

Traffic on the A12 was severely disrupted
As the canton police in Friborg announced, the accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. Nobody was injured in the accident. The fire brigade secured the vehicle as well as two gas bottles and batteries. Then it neutralized a small amount of fuel on the road. The A12 infrastructure was only slightly damaged.

The A12 motorway between Bulle and Rossens was completely closed to traffic for 2 hours and 40 minutes for the purpose of the intervention. A diversion has been set up. The traffic was severely disrupted. The vehicle involved in the accident was towed from a company garage.
