6. Eating Too Much Meat
Animal protein produces high amounts of acid in the blood and harms the kidneys. This causes acidosis, which is a condition in which the kidneys can’t get rid of acid fast enough.

7. Eat Foods High in Sugar
Sugar contributes to obesity and leads to high blood pressure and diabetes. Both are known to be the main cause of kidney disease.

8. Smoking
For those of you who still smoke, you should leave immediately. Because smoking is not only bad for the lungs or heart, but also for the kidneys. People who smoke have protein in their urine, which is a sign of kidney damage.

9. Drinking Excessive Alcohol
Regular heavy drinking of more than four glasses a day was found to double the risk of chronic kidney disease. People who smoke and drink alcohol are five times more likely to develop chronic kidney disease.

10. Sitting for a Long Time
