Avoid CPU performance loss with ThrottleStop

Techspot reports the availability of ThrottleStop version 9.5† ThrottleStop should provide a number of options that can be used to bypass CPU throttling, as well as a monitoring panel that shows you the current status of each thread on your processor.

As you may know, some laptops use clock modulation and multiplier reductions to lower the performance and power consumption of your system. This is done intentionally to make your computer run cooler or to run your laptop with a power adapter that isn’t enough to fully power the laptop and charge the battery at the same time.

Disclaimer: When using ThrottleStop, it is highly recommended that you check the wall power consumption with a Kill-a-Watt meter (or similar device) and make sure not to exceed the power capabilities of your adapter. Use of the software is at your own risk and, in the worst cases, could result in permanent damage to your power adapter or computer or both, which may not be covered by warranty.
