‘Avatar 2’ features a special underwater ceremony

Actress Kate Winslet has revealed new details about it Avatar 2. For the recordings she had to hold her breath for no less than eight minutes, and she recorded a ceremony of the Na’vi underwater.

A recent photo from the film showed Winslet performing some kind of underwater dance in front of the camera. During that dance, she holds her breath all the time for several minutes. A special achievement, for a special scene.

Ceremony of the Na’vi
Winslet told Collider that she was shooting the scene for her character Ronal. “I walked across the bottom of the water tank. It’s going to be a big ceremony, where I had to wear big wings. That was pretty scary. But the thing is, if you can hold your breath for seven minutes, you don’t get scared. To be honest, I could really rely on my own ability to hold my breath for that long. Somehow I wasn’t scared at all, “ said Winslet.

That results in a special photo, in which we see how Winslet walks on the bottom of a tank and, indeed, carries a kind of wings behind him.
