Wown Floods The busy freeway 8 between Salzburg and Munich on Tuesday near Rosenheim was completely blocked in both directions. All detour routes are also overloaded, the Rosenheim district office reported. “Drivers are urged to avoid the freeway and detour routes.” It is still unclear how long the total lock at Frasdorf must be maintained.

The German Meteorological Service announced that in the Alpine region and in Lower Bavaria there would still be some storm-like continuous rain on Tuesday. “Most of the rain that is still to be expected falls until noon and sometimes within a few hours in a shower-like form.” In the afternoon, the precipitation would decrease.
