Dhe accidental insertion of subtitles of the telenovela “Alisa – Follow Your Heart” has turned scenes of the swearing in of the Austrian government into a grotesque in the ORF media library.
The 33-year-old ÖVP boss Sebastian Kurz and Austria’s Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen stood side by side and underneath, for example – unintentionally funny – the subtitle “Na, na du Küken?” In another scene, both politicians had screenshots of the subtitles “You can start here. As waiter.”
The ORF apologized. The Austrian broadcaster confirmed that the subtitles of the previous program had been repeated in ORF-TVthek due to a processing error. According to ORF, they were visible on Wednesday when viewers viewed the subtitles.
The main program of ORF2 and the TVthek livestream were not affected. “The wrong subtitles were immediately deleted in the TVthek and replaced with the correct ones. Measures are taken so that such an error no longer occurs, “said the statement. ORF regrets the incident and apologizes for it.
