The bodies of FK Austria Wien have approved the deal with the new investor. This was announced by Austria after a supervisory board meeting on Thursday evening in a press release:
FK Austria Wien is on the home straight with setting the course for a successful future for the club and is on schedule. As already reported several times, the goal was always to finish all discussions and negotiations for a strategic partnership by the end of February. This project was successfully concluded today. Accordingly, the license documents can also be submitted on time.
During this week, all the bodies necessary for the resolutions, such as the presidium and the administrative board of the association as well as the supervisory board of FK Austria Wien AG, met regularly. The key points of the cooperation with the strategic partner were presented during these committee meetings.
After this has been unanimously approved by everyone, the contracts can now be finalized and the corresponding license documents can be submitted in full to the ÖFBL by March 3, 2021.
The new strategic partner and the cooperation are expected to be presented in the coming week.
