Australian Open | Vondroušová in Melbourne was not enough for Sabalenková

Only Barbora Krejčíková remained in the singles from the Czech representatives. The fourth seed will face two-time tournament winner Belarusian Victoria Azarenkova in Sunday’s round of 16.

Silver Olympic medalist Vondroušová benefited from her opponent’s mistakes in the first set. Although she has not yet maintained the 3: 1 lead, she has already delivered the set after another break. She has not spoiled Belarus so much since the second set and covered her Czech lefty with her wounds with loud shouts. The second set was decided by Vondroušová’s only loss of the second game and in the third she lost six games in a row from 0: 1.
