Aurelio León ‘La Shakira’ dies by COVID-19

Los Mochis, Sin.- Aurelio León, better known as “La Shakira”, died on Monday night from COVID-19, which he had been fighting for several days and that had forced him to use oxygen for a couple of weeks.

The announcer was also an impersonator known as “El Triple de Juan Gabriel” and coach of children’s leagues, where he obtained several national championships representing the municipality of Ahome.

For several days, Aurelio León’s family and friends have been requesting support with tanks and oxygen supplies, which he required due to a severe lung condition that he had as a result of this condition.

This Monday he was admitted to the ISSSTE clinic in Los Mochis, where he was intubated but his lung capacity did not support the procedure and he died around ten at night.

“La Shakira” was known for his many altruistic works and was a frequent participant in medical showers, who were invited to support the sick and people with limited resources, as well as his December campaigns to bring joy to those who have the least.
