This is what comes during the month of August.
August Research Achievement Meeting
From Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT) until Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT), Scraggy, the Pokémon Mudapiel, will be available as research achievement meeting.
Featured Pokémon Hours
In August, the featured Pokémon time will take place every Tuesday at 18:00 local time. Each hour will feature a different Pokémon and there will be special bonuses!
- Tuesday August 4, 2020: Horsea will be the standout and they will earn double Candy for catching Pokémon.
- Tuesday August 11, 2020: Sableye will be the standout and they will earn double Caramels for transferring Pokémon.
- Tuesday August 18, 2020: Venipede will be the highlight and they will earn double XP for evolving Pokémon.
- Tuesday August 25, 2020: Geodude will be featured and they will earn double Stardust for catching Pokémon.
Ultra unlock is near!
Thank you so much to Pokémon GO Fest 2020 attendees for completing this year’s challenges! Not only did they manage to defeat Team GO Rocket and regain control of the event, but they also won the ultra-unlock bonus of the year.
This is what you will see in each ultra unlock week:
- Dragon Week will take place from Friday, July 31, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT) to Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT). Majestic Dragon-type Pokémon come in all shapes and sizes, from Little Gible to Alola’s towering Exeggutor, and this week will be your chance to shine! Rayquaza will be on the five-star raids and there will also be a special Temporary Investigation available this week only. Hopefully, they may find a multi-colored Deino!
- Enigma Week will take place from Friday, August 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT) until Friday, August 14, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT). Featured Pokemon will range from the mysterious Elgyem to the mighty Deoxys. Deoxys will be on the five-star raids and, with any luck, they will be able to find their variocolor version. You can also find a Staryu variocolor.
- Thessaly Week will take place from Friday, August 14, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT) to Friday, August 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. CST (1:00 p.m. PDT). Sewaddle, Cottonee, Emolga and Bouffalant, all originally discovered in the Tesselia region, will appear in the world of Pokémon GO for the first time. Bouffalant will appear in New York City and the surrounding areas. Genesect will be in the five-star forays and, with any luck, they will be able to find their variocolor version. You can also find a Roggenrola variocolor.
