Augsburg doll carver Jürgen Marschall dies

Jürgen Marschall grew up with the marionettes as the grandson of Walter and Rose Oehmichen, the founders of the Augsburger Puppenkiste. He had learned the craft of carving from his mother, Hannelore Marschall-Oehmichen, and perfected it over many years.

Management together with the brother

Almost 30 years ago, the native of Augsburg returned to the world-famous marionette theater in Spitalgasse and took over the management together with his brother, Klaus Marschall. In 2003 Jürgen Marschall took on the task of creating new marionettes, among other things for the numerous television productions of the Puppenkiste.
