The restyling of the Audi Q5 has affected many exterior elements, but not all of them are visible to the naked eye. So, for example, the usual-looking octagonal radiator grill has become wider. The air intakes in the front bumper increased in size and received a different finish, the pattern of daytime running lights changed. Also there was a new decorative trim between the rear lights and an updated diffuser in the lower part of the bumper, the shape of the side sills changed.

In addition to the standard exterior decoration package, customers are offered the optional design lines Advanced and S line. In the first case, the car receives chrome and silver exterior elements, and in the second, the crossover is equipped with a radiator grill with a honeycomb structure, like Audi sports models. Two new colors are offered for the body: District Green and Ultra Blue.

In addition, the updated Audi Q5 uses organic LEDs for the first time in the world. They are distinguished by a high level of uniformity of the light flux and minimal gaps between the segments. The optional taillights with organic LEDs are divided into three squares with six segments each, which allows you to create different lighting design options. In addition, the client can choose one of three options for back light signature.

Pure diesel engine with soft hybrid

At the start of sales in Europe, the updated Audi Q5 will be available in a single version 40 TDI with a new diesel engine that meets the latest environmental standards Euro-6. The four-cylinder in-line engine develops 204 liters. from. and 400 N · m, which allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.6 seconds. The Hybrid MHEV system is designed to improve performance. A belt-driven starter-generator is capable of accumulating braking energy in a compact lithium-ion battery. Thus, the hybrid component provides coasting with the engine turned off and supports the start-stop function at speeds up to 22 km per hour. Paired with the engine, a seven-speed S tronic robotic gearbox is running, and torque is distributed to the wheels through a quattro ultra all-wheel drive transmission.

Later, other powertrain options will appear on the European market: two more powerful four-cylinder turbodiesels, a V-shaped diesel “six”, as well as a pair of 2.0 TFSI gasoline engines. The hybrid version of the Audi Q5 TFSI e will be available in two power options.

Smart multimedia system and advanced cloud services

All functions in the cabin of the updated Q5 are managed by the third-generation modular infotainment system MIB 3. The manufacturer claims a 10-fold increase in productivity compared to the previous generation system. In the basic equipment version, all system information is displayed on the central display of the dashboard.
