ATTENTION! In the coming year, the pension payment dates will change 10 times. OVERVIEW

Like every year, the upcoming public holidays will slightly postpone the pension payment dates. During 2023, the expiration date will be moved a total of 10 times. In three cases, people get their money later.

The closest date change awaits seniors this year at Christmas. The pensions that people are expected to receive on Christmas Day, i.e. Saturday 24/12/2022, will be paid by the office on Friday 23/12/2022.

In the coming year, retirees will have to make several adjustments to the dates of pension payments. This applies to all recipients of an old-age, invalidity or survivor’s pension (widow, widower and orphan).

Clients of the Czech Social Security Administration (ČSSZ), who always receive their pension without cash in their accounts on the second day of the monththey will have January’s salary credited to their accounts January 3, 2023. In exceptional cases January 4, 2023. Those who receive their pension on the account on the fourth and sixth day of the month will then receive January’s money in due time.

“This is an extraordinary measure linked to the fact that the CSSS will only be able to draw funds intended for the payment of pensions in 2023 until 2 January 2023. In the following months, the CSSS will ensure the payment of pensions in the usual way and customers with a date of payment set for the day following the month, they will have the pension payment in their personal accounts at the latest on this day,” the office said.

Pensions are paid by the Czech Social Insurance Administration by non-cash transfer to the client’s bank account or in cash via Czech Post.

“They are always paid in advance, in regular monthly periods. The payment deadlines for the pensions paid by the CSSS are on even days from the 2nd to the 24th of the month. The CSSS also disburses the pensions to the social welfare structures with annual residence, where the pensions are paid on the 15th of the month,” the administration added.
