ATO veteran who passed the Ilovaisk boiler / GORDON died from COVID-19 in Lviv

“With deep sadness we inform you that this morning the participant of hostilities Yury Dosyak has departed for eternity. Yuri, a volunteer of the Donbass battalion, who survived in Ilovaisk, returned from captivity. But, unfortunately, the disease turned out to be stronger here,” message.



His wife Natalia Gnativ reported on Facebook that on the morning of November 5, there was a sudden cardiac arrest.



“Ukrinform” notes that Dosyak was in the hospital for a long time with extensive bilateral pneumonia caused by COVID-19, and was under a ventilator. For a week he lay in a medical coma, but the day before he got out of it, was in a medical sleep and the man showed positive dynamics. The family of the ATO veteran began to save money for his treatment.

Dosyak from Lvov was an active participant in the Maidan, and when the Russian aggression began in eastern Ukraine, he volunteered for the Donbass battalion. He participated in the release of Popasna, in the battles for Maryinka, and when leaving the Ilovaisk cauldron, he was captured for 119 days by Russian militants in Donetsk. After returning home, Dosyak founded his own rehabilitation center “Grateful Erodius” with a farm for his fellows.
