QHe was going to tell me that magical night inAnfied from March 11, when Lodi threw his shirt to us in full celebration for eliminating Liverpool, who was going to haver so much notoriety its elastic almost 60 days later ...It was 22:45 British hours (23.45 in Madrid) when 3,000 fans celebrated in our corner of Anfield the feat of our Atleti. We had defeated the almighty leader of the Premier and one of the top favorites to win the Champions League. Extend, comeback, courage and heart … and go to quarters.
In the field it was located in thefirst rows of grass walk, almost hand in hand with the photographers -exchanging words with my BRAND partner Chema Rey and his camera in hand, which, by the way, thanks for the photos-. The players danced our songs, they jumped, all hugged(eye, 3,000 people embraced … old normality ..)and many of them gave us their shirts. One of the last to drop the shirt was Lodi. I saw how he came to our area, with the shirt in hand, throwing it with force. And there I was,like Oblak in the incredible stops that night, for the shirt !!
From that moment you can imagine … what does it smell like? (shirt that passed from nose to nose ..) ..still sweaty !! many said(sweat that passed from hand to hand) .. many ask me to take pictures (well together we go into them) …. T-shirt that served as a pillow for the return flight ..
Three days until I washed it, showing it like a war trophy from that magical battle …Who was going to tell me almost 60 days after we were fighting another battle, that we will all win.
