Created in 1976, theAtlanta Film Festival is held every spring and it is one of the few film festivals that can qualify for Academy Awards®. It has taken place in various theaters over the years: the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, The Plaza and the 7 Stages Theater in Little Five Points.

One of the oldest and most important American film festivals, l’Atlanta Film Festival sees around 25,000 visitors parade every year, who have come to watch films, documentaries or short films, selected from over 4,800 submissions from 37 different countries.
