Decathlon has shaped me for an incredibly long time and will always be part of my life.” After a long injury break, Abele is going into the two-day competition on Monday and Tuesday as the defending champion with a wild card. At the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin, he surprisingly won the gold medal. Since then he has been plagued by numerous injuries, most recently his shoulder. His last completed decathlon is now almost four years ago. A medal in Munich is hardly possible after this history. “I want to finish in the top eight, and that’s what I’m going to the stadium with on Monday,” said Abele. © dpa-infocom, dpa:220810-99-338536/2 – – Related posts:Are you inclined to carry the burden of 2024 in the potential?
