At the Sundance Film Festival, the Best Director Award went to Lithuanian Marija Kavtaradze

After receiving the award, Kavtaradze admitted: “It’s still hard to believe that the first showing of the film to the world is so successful. I am grateful to the whole team and to each one individually for this joint creative journey. The next stage has begun – the film meets the audience. It is incredible that the film has received such immediate and very inspiring acclaim at my dream festival!”

The title of the relationship drama in Lithuanian reads “Tu Man Nieko Neprimeni” (You don’t remind me of anyone) and tells the story of the meeting between the dancer Elena and the sign language interpreter David and the romantic relationship that develops between them. Kavtaradze, born in 1991, is also the author of the film’s script, it is expected that the film will be released in Lithuania in autumn.

The Sundance Film Festival is the largest annual independent film event in the United States, founded in 1978.
