At the age of 50, rapper DMX has gone to eternity

“We are very sad to announce that our beloved DMX at the age of 50, White Plains Hospital, has left us,” the family said in a statement.

Earlier, TMZ reported that no improvements were seen in Wednesday’s brain function tests. The family had to decide whether to disconnect the DMX from the artificial life support facilities.

The rapper was taken to hospital on April 2 after a drug overdose, and he was in a vegetative state.

A prayer was held at a New York hospital on Monday for DMX to recover. Unfortunately, the tests did not show any improvement.

The public prayer was attended by rapper colleagues, fans, as well as his bride Desirey Lindstorm and ex-wife Tasher Simons. At their event, they supported each other and held prayers side by side.

DMX and Tasher had been together for 11 years. The divorce was filed in 2013, but it was officially divorced in 2016. Together with Tasher, DMX has four children.
