An interview devoid of hypocrisy, the last one released by Caterina Balivo, about her love life. After a long period of absence from TV, the Neapolitan presenter tells the last two years of her life, admitting that she experienced a moment of great difficulty next to her husband Guido Maria Brera, a financial manager by profession and with whom she had two children Cora and Guido Alberto. A real crisis, explains Caterina, the second for the couple, already put to the test following the miscarriage of years ago.
The reasons for the crisis
To put Caterina and Guido Maria in difficulty, the pandemic, as for many couples. The triggering cause, in particular, is the daily life that has arisen in the family in the days in which he, subject to risk, was more reluctant than she to resume everyday life once the emergency had passed. “A distance has been created with respect to what we wanted from life”, explains Caterina, guest of Silvia Toffanin to Verissimo. “He wanted to be more bear, look after his interests, while I wanted to start living as before”.
How to overcome such distances? “In those moments you have to be good at overcoming them – he adds – And, even if there are days when you want to call the lawyer, you have to be good at not doing it. There were moments when I said ‘enough’. But then there they are the children, there is their infinite love “. What makes the difference, in those moments, is love: “I think that couple crises are good if they are constructive. But there must be love, in my case there is love. Still today I look at it and I think ‘how good my husband is’. He is there, coming back with a smile and sweetness. The sweetest among us is him, I am the one who scratches the most “.
“I – adds Caterina – with words I am the one that strikes you the most. In that case you can say things that you may not think at that moment: I know that it should not be done but I do it. I am sincere for better or for worse”.

The crisis after abortion
In the past, the couple experienced a first crisis. It happened after the firstborn arrival, when she was the victim of a miscarriage. “There I made a very serious mistake – continues Caterina – In other words, hiding my pain. I hid it, especially from myself, I was at the Niguarda in Milan and I had the recording of the program. I looked at the gynecologist, I went to the Menate studies crying, I stamped the card and I was perfect. But it’s not okay to do that in life “. The pains, according to Caterina, must be lived, faced and only later put aside, only after having worked them out. Just as it happened in the case of the crisis with her husband.

Emergency overcome, therefore, with Guido Maria Brera, but the presenter is keen to underline that, as a public face, she wants to be sincere and not hide how much her extended family is less easy to manage than you think. As is well known, in fact, Guido Maria already had two children, one of whom, the girl, who lives at home with Caterina and the children. “The extended family is no more beautiful than the traditional one. Let’s debunk this thing, because otherwise everything is worth it”.
