At least two rockets fall near the US embassy in Baghdad

At least two rockets hit the US embassy in the Baghdad Green Zone on Sunday evening, AFP witnesses said two days after the assassination of powerful Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in an American raid on Iraq.

Since the end of October, 14 rocket attacks have targeted American interests in Iraq, never claimed, but several of which have been attributed by Washington to the Hezbollah Brigades.

The pro-Iran faction called on Iraqi soldiers to withdraw from US troops on Saturday before 2 p.m. GMT on Sunday, hinting at attacks.

There were no casualties in the Green Zone shootings, medical sources told AFP.

However, they reported four wounded, all members of the same family, hit by a third rocket that landed in a residential area near the area.
