California, United States.

At least eight injureds, including one in critical condition and a baby three months left a fire this Wednesday in a building residential in The Angels, which led to a massive rescue operation.

Firefighters initially reported that several people had jumped off of the 25-story structure, but then clarified that it was not so.

“Nobody jumped,” said deputy fire chief Antonio Hogan. “Two people they watched jump but we told them to stay where they were “to be rescued using the truck ladder.

Hogan explained that between eight injured there is a three month old baby and a man who needed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and was taken to the hospital.

The other six were treated by inhalation of smoke

“The Herculean effort of the members of the (Fire Department) of The Angels it was incredible, “Hogan added, noting that 355 troops had responded to the fire along with four helicopters.

The fire began shortly after 8:30 a.m. (4:30 p.m. GMT) on the sixth floor of the 25-floor structure, and was controlled about an hour and a half later.
