The Fokker 100 machine sagged immediately after starting. It broke through a wall before hitting a residential building. Rescue teams tried to rescue the occupants from the seriously damaged machine. According to the first official information from the authorities, at least 14 people were killed in the accident, and another 30 people were injured. The health status of 17 injuries was described as critical.

According to the latest information from the airport, there were 93 passengers and five crew members on board the aircraft, which had started for the capital Nursultan. Airport Almaty also published the names of dozens of survivors who would have received medical help on their Facebook page.
