At 70 years of age, local ranchera music icon Eliseo Guevara passed away

One of the most iconic and recognized names of ranchera music in Chile passed away during the last hours.

Eliseo del Carmen Guevara Muñoz was born in Buin on August 31, 1949, completing more than 60 years on stage, after leaving as a child singing traditional Mexican songs.

Among his main songs are “La Calandria”, “Christmas of a Poor Child”, and the most important “The One with the Black Boots”, icon of the Chilean ranching repertoire.
