Jakarta, Selular.ID – Several smartphone brands are preparing to launch their next generation gaming smartphones. Recently, Black Shark and Nubia started teasing their next gaming phone for the Chinese market. Now, it’s Asus’ turn with the successor to ROG Phone 3.
A teaser released by the brand via its Weibo account reveals that the next gaming phone (ROG Phone) will offer an enhanced experience.
However, so far Asus hasn’t revealed the name of the next ROG phone in the new teaser. But last month, an Asus gaming phone with model number ASUS_I005DA was seen on Geekbench 5, as quoted from Gizmochina, Thursday (14/1/2021).
Since the ROG Phone 3 model number is ASUS_I003D, it is assumed that the ASUS_I005DA handset will debut as ROG Phone 5. However, it is not yet certain whether the upcoming ROG handset will be called ROG Phone 4 or ROG Phone 5.
According to the circulating poster description, the device has a slightly thick chin, it will feature slimmer bezels on the other three sides of the screen. In addition, the Geekbench list of phones that are suspected of being ROG has revealed that it will carry Snapdragon 888 and 8GB RAM. The gaming smartphone was found to be running on Android 11 OS.
Unfortunately, information about the specifications of the successor to the ROG Phone 3 is still very limited. However, it is expected to bring a good performance increase over the previous generation.
