Back home after 328 days in zero gravity, astronaut Christina Koch received a big dose of love from her dog, overjoyed to see her owner again.
–
NASA astronaut Christina Koch posted the video of her reunion with her dog after 328 days in orbit on Twitter. Breaking the female record of time spent in space, it landed on February 6 in the steppes of Kazakhstan, in Central Asia.
The short sequence shows the dog fidgeting near the door as it approaches its owner. When she enters, the animal, overjoyed, jumps on it several times, wagging its tail and licking its face.
“I don’t know who was most excited. I’m glad she remembers me after a year, ”wrote caption Christina Koch.
The second longest solo space trip
The Christina Koch’s mission, who made six spacewalks, the first three of which were all female, was the second longest solo space trip among NASA astronauts, the record being held by Scott Kelly, who spent 340 days in a row on the ISS before returning to Earth in 2016.
