“Astronaut” got money from Japanese woman

Russian wanted to settle in Japan after his “mission” – paid 47,000 euros to “transport company”

An alleged astronaut on a fraud mission has stolen a handsome Japanese woman from a handsome sum of money. As the Japanese daily “Hokkaido Shimbun” reported on Monday, the woman claimed to have met the “Russian astronaut” on the Internet in her 30s. After his “mission” he wanted to live in Japan, the man wrote to her. He would send his belongings, please pay for it.

She was then contacted by someone pretending to be an employee of a transport company and asking her to pay the insurance fee for “a Russian’s luggage”. She then transferred a total of six million yen (47,434.58 euros) to an account. But apparently the “astronaut” disappeared into unknown spheres, because the woman now sees herself as a victim of fraud and, according to the report, turned to the city administration.
