Marchais
Traveling companion of Catherine Frayon, secretary of the Voile de l’Ailette association and loyal member of the Laon Historical Montée association Alain Jager, passed away on Monday August 16 at the age of 73.
“It’s a great sadness for us. Alain and Catherine, his partner with whom I spent many years professionally at SODELEG, formed an inseparable couple in love with freedom, adoring the sea, the seabed, Brittany ”, recalls Jean-Louis Chêne, president of the historic Montée.
Passionate about sailing, aviation, photography and vintage cars, this native of Meaux, father of four children, ten times grandfather living in Marchais, he was a seasoned competitor, even winning a few years ago in the category of habitable, the challenge of Voile de l’Ailette of which he was the official photographer.
Thirsty for discoveries, after his studies in Reims, he had a series of professional experiences with “Resemeleurs Reims”, then in printing, in modern stores in Reims, in vinegar, and in the automotive industry at Citroën in Reims.
The farewell ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 21 from 9 a.m. at the Reims crematorium.
To those close to him, The Union sends its sincere condolences.
