Bank of America is actively recruiting a Trading Assistant (TA) for its Singapore-based FX trading desk, a role vital for ensuring the timely and accurate capture of trades. The position also involves resolving operational queries and maintaining business as usual (BAU) for the trading desk.
Key responsibilities of the Trading Assistant
Trading Assistants provide direct support to the Front Office, encompassing a range of activities critical to the smooth operation of trading activities. These responsibilities include:
- Trade Capture: Ensuring all trades,including bonds,futures,FX,and OTC derivatives,are accurately and promptly recorded.
- Funding: Managing funding-related tasks to support trading activities.
- Amendment: Handling trade amendments as necessary.
- Sales Workflow: Supporting the sales team with their workflow.
- Auctions: Assisting with auction-related activities.
- Ad-hoc Business Support: Providing miscellaneous support such as handling New Product Reviews (NPRs), New System Technology (NST), management information Systems (MIS), data gathering, acting as a tech liaison, and participating in projects and change management.
- Operational query Resolution: Addressing and resolving all associated operational queries, including trade reconciliations, and coordinating with trading, sales, operations, and finance teams.
- Internal Client Interaction: Responding promptly to internal client queries regarding trade bookings.
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Liaising with other internal departments to ensure timely resolution of feeding and other risk issues.
- Project Involvement: Participating in ad hoc projects for new processes or initiatives.
- Real-time Coordination: Maintaining real-time coordination and interaction with traders throughout the trade capture and risk validation processes. The TA is responsible for ensuring applicable Trade Order (TO) completeness and accuracy controls are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Control partner Engagement: Serving as the first point of contact for queries related to trade bookings, P&L/Risk exceptions, or any ad-hoc requirements from other teams.
