Assessment of the Quebec region: two more new deaths

The latest assessment in the Quebec region shows two new deaths and two outbreaks where the fight is still very difficult.

The CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale also confirmed 31 new positive cases in the territory. Some 24 of the 31 new cases were detected in the CHSLDs already identified.

This brings the total to 1,532 people infected and 103 deaths.

At designated hospitals in the region, there are currently 28 hospitalizations.

One person died at CHSLD Paul-Triquet, which now has 15 deaths.

The other death occurred at CHSLD Hôpital general de Québec, the ninth at this location. The situation is far from being controlled with nine new cases, for a total of 108 to date.

At CHSLD Jardins du Haut Saint-Laurent, the virus is very active, and the situation is not improving. Eleven users and two more employees are now infected, for a total of 67 in a very short time.
