Assembly of Lada and Renault cars to be launched in Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan News

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Details.uz… In Uzbekistan, in 2022, it is planned to launch the assembly of Lada and Renault cars, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports with reference to the Investment Program of Uzbekistan for 2021-2023.

The assembly will be arranged at the ADM-Jizzakh automobile plant in the Jizzakh free economic zone. The cost of the project exceeds $ 60 million, of which over $ 30 million is planned to be spent in 2021. The design capacity of the production will be up to 100 thousand vehicles per year.

The Jizzak plant has two production lines designed to assemble vehicles of various configurations. At the first stage, the production capacity of the plant is 25 thousand cars per year, at the second, as the lines with welding and body painting shops are put into operation, it will increase to 100 thousand. This is where the models of the South Korean brand Kia will be assembled

At the end of 2019, Uzbekistan entered the TOP 3 largest markets for the Russian Lada. Over 6.6 thousand cars were sold in the country.

Recall that today the Russian AVTOVAZ group is part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and manufactures full-cycle vehicles for four brands: LADA, Renault, Nissan, Datsun. The Group’s production facilities are located in Togliatti and Izhevsk.

The LADA brand is presented in the B, B +, SUV and LCV segments, which comprise 5 model families: Vesta, XRAY, Largus, Granta and 4×4. The brand occupies 20% of the Russian passenger car market.
