A Ubisoft spokesman from the Middle East had recently stressed that the new one Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is not “the biggest or longest” game in the series would be. Several fans even breathed a sigh of relief, finally became Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey criticized for the sheer size.

Now, however, things are looking different again, because Ubisoft obviously wants to go one step further with the new series part. At least that’s what Julien Laferriere, one of the producers of the title, announced in an interview with YouTuber Julien Chieze. The game world in Valhalla will therefore be larger than the world of Odyssey.

“In terms of width, I would actually say that it is actually slightly larger than Odyssey. I do not have exact figures at the moment, but we have not only reproduced the entire country, which in this case is England, but also a large part of Norway. There are also secret worlds that I can’t talk about today but that do their part to make the game bigger. It’s not a small game, but a title that is clearly ambitious and the players will spend many hours of gameplay, “said Laferriere.

Despite the criticism of the size of Odyssey, Valhalla could actually get an even bigger map. At the same time, however, the number of missions and individual locations of interest could be reduced to take account of the Odyssey criticism. We’ll keep you up to date!
