Since the trailer was released for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla there was more and more new information about the next episode in Ubisoft‘S popular franchise released. A Kotaku interview with Ashraf Ismail, the game’s creative director, revealed some important information about the progress system.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Do we have to hunt for experience points again?
Most Assassin’s CreedGames enabled players to acquire skills and equipment through story development and story exploration. Origins and Odyssey deviated from the formula by adding levels and Experience points integrated. Especially at Odyssey, some players didn’t enjoy it because you had to reach a certain level in order to move on to the main story. Many players are curious now whether Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will follow the same format.

Lots OdysseyPlayers were taken out of the main story and forced to play level grind. Valhalla will have a large number of non-story activities available, such as Viking raids and battles, but it sounds like they should complement the main story and not pull the player out to arbitrarily grind. Ashraf Ismail said he wants to prevent players from reaching a “progression spike”.
Just annoying
Besides that Odysseys Level and experience system was just annoying, it also caused players to abuse Story Creator mode Experience points unfair to manipulate. Although there is no doubt that these players cheated the system, it would be for Odyssey make no wish to get experience points quickly and easily. If Assassin’s Creed Valhalla hopefully this kind of system abuse will not occur.
