Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update: New Armor, Cat & Awaji’s Claws Expansion

assassin’s Creed Shadows to​ Receive Major Update with Ezio-Themed‌ Content and a Murderous ‍Cat

Ubisoft has detailed a new update arriving ⁢tomorrow, September 11, 2025, for⁢ Assassin’s Creed Shadows, paving the way ‌for the upcoming Awaji’s Claws expansion and delivering ⁣a host of free content, including a highly anticipated Ezio-inspired ⁢armor set and a uniquely outfitted feline companion.

Update 1.1.1 will prepare the game for the ‍September 16 launch of Awaji’s Claws and introduces significant ​changes for all players. these include raising the maximum level cap to 100, adding two new equipment qualities, and enhancing shelter functionality with two additional building levels offering bonuses to Naoe, Yasuke, and their allies. The update’s file size will be 12.94 GB on PlayStation 5, 33 GB on Xbox Series X/S, and 42 GB on PC (or 17 GB via Steam).

A new Animus Hub project, “Sanctuary,” ⁤will also be included, featuring objects themed around the iconic Renaissance Assassin, Ezio. The highlight of this project is the “Rooftop Cat” pet for player shelters – a white feline sporting custom Assassin⁣ robes.Players will also gain access to the Bo Staff weapon from the Awaji expansion through a dedicated introductory mission, available even without purchasing the new content, unlocking on ‌September 16.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows recently received an 8/10 score from IGN Spain, lauded ‍as “the culmination of the open world formula of Ubisoft.”
