Asking Humanist Police, National Police Chief Highlights 3 Incidents During Jokowi’s Kunker

Jakarta

The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, issued a directive to his staff to respond humanely to the delivery of people’s aspirations when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) made a visit to the area. The directive was delivered following 3 incidents that occurred when Jokowi visited the region.

“I want to convey the direction of the National Police Chief regarding several incidents during the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to various regions,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono when contacted, Wednesday (15/9/2021).

Argo conveyed several incidents of expressing aspirations that occurred in the past few days. One of them was when President Jokowi visited the Sekampung Reservoir.

“So there have been several incidents, such as in Lampung when the President visited the inauguration of the Sekampung reservoir in Peringsewu on September 2, 2021. There were several sympathizers of former FPI mass organizations or 212 alumni in Lampung who would put up banners or posters,” said Argo.

Argo said a similar incident occurred on September 7, 2021. At that time, according to him, President Jokowi was visiting Blitar, then suddenly there were people who spread posters.

“Then secondly, on September 7, 2021, when the President of the Republic of Indonesia was visiting Blitar City, someone suddenly stood up and spread a poster right at the direction the President was passing,” he said.

The third incident, said Argo, was the most recent one, when President Jokowi visited the city of Solo and a student held up a poster.

“Then on September 13 it happened when the President of the Republic of Indonesia made a working visit at the UNS complex and there were 10 students carrying banners and posters,” he said.
