Ascenty: New São Paulo Data Center Marks 15-Year Milestone

Ascenty Invests Heavily in Latin American Data Center Expansion, Marking 15 Years of Leadership

São Paulo, Brazil – July 3, 2025 – Ascenty, a joint venture between Digital Realty and Brookfield Infrastructure, is significantly expanding its Latin American footprint with significant investments in new data centers, coinciding with its 15th anniversary. the company announced the construction of SPO05, a new data center in the São Paulo region, with an investment of approximately R$300 million (roughly $60 million USD). This facility joins a campus totaling 47MW and approximately 40,000 m² of total area, designed to serve both enterprise and hyperscale customers, particularly those leveraging cloud and artificial intelligence solutions [[1]].

Further Expansion Planned:

Ascenty isn’t stopping at SPO05. The company has also initiated advancement of SPO07 and SPO08, representing a further investment of approximately R$1.5 billion (roughly $300 million USD) and 40 MW of power. these will be built on a 47,430.16m2 plot acquired in 2023, also located in São Paulo.
