AS Roma will finally be owned by Dan and Ryan Friedkin, billionaires from the United States. I Giallorossi announce this through official channels on Thursday morning.
The deal involves around 591 million euros, Roma reports the club website. It is expected that the last dots can be put on the i at the end of August. Negotiations between the club and the Friedkin brothers have been going on for ten months, but now there is actually a breakthrough. The Friedkin brothers, who grew rich in the car trade, made several offers during this period to the current owner James Pallotta.
Pallotta initially did not want to know anything about a sale, but because of the financial impact of the corona virus, he is now prepared to listen to the offer. “I am pleased to report that we have reached an agreement with the Friedkin Group,” says Pallotta. “We signed the documents tonight (Wednesday evening, ed.) And are working to take the formal and legal path in the coming days. I am sure Dan and Ryan Friedkin will be wonderful owners of AS Roma in the future.”
