Recently, a team of G20 delegates reached Arunachal Pradesh, one of India’s most picturesque states, known for its scenic beauty and historical significance. The delegates also plan to visit Tawang, a famous town in Arunachal Pradesh, today. This visit is significant as it highlights the growing importance of the state in the economic and political landscape of India, drawing attention to its vast potential and untapped resources. In this article, we will delve deeper into the reasons behind this visit and its potential implications for the region and the world.

Over 50 international delegates arrived in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday to participate in a G20 meeting. The delegates include representatives of the member countries and international organizations. After landing at the Hollongi airport, they traveled to Itanagar, the state capital, where they visited an exhibition that showcased various tribal arts and cultures, besides budding innovators of the state exhibiting their innovations.

Following the exhibition, the delegates attended a meeting and then visited the Thupten Gatseling Monastery, where they enjoyed a cultural musical performance. Afterward, they visited the Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum, where they were briefed about the history and rich culture of the northeastern state.

In the evening, the delegates witnessed a cultural program at the state assembly, which was arranged for them. On Sunday, the delegates are likely to visit Tawang, a town in the state, bordering China, but that would depend on weather conditions, sources said. From there, they would travel to Guwahati in Assam.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that the G20 meeting in the state is a geo-political and diplomatic event that is a testimony to the spirit of brotherhood encompassed by the mantra of ‘One Earth, One Family, and One Future’. Arunachal Pradesh is a state in Northeast India known for its rich cultural heritage and natural resources. For centuries, the people of Arunachal Pradesh have been living in harmony with nature, Khandu said.

While the world has come together to find a solution to climate change, Arunachal Pradesh has taken up various initiatives to fight the situation by adopting the Pakke Declaration-2047. By adopting the declaration, the state government has resolved that by 2047, Arunachal Pradesh will lead by example in the field of climate change mitigation and sustainable development.

The delegates’ visit has not only been significant for the state government but also for the people of the state who have been preparing for their visit for months. Itanagar has been decked up with G20 member countries’ flags, and posters for the event.

In conclusion, the international delegates’ visit to Arunachal Pradesh for the G20 meeting is a significant event that testifies to the state’s cultural richness and natural resources. The state government has taken various initiatives to fight climate change and promote sustainable development that could serve as an example for the world. The visit by the international delegates would undoubtedly help showcase the state’s beauty and cultural heritage to the world.
