Who is Artemy Lebedev

Lebedev is a famous designer in Russia and in the post-Soviet countries. His activities are also connected with Ukraine. In Kiev, Lebedev has his own design studio. In particular, Lebedev’s studio developed the logo of the city of Odessa, as well as the design of the metropolitan shopping center Ocean Plaza.

In 2017, Lebedev received a five-year travel ban from Ukraine after illegally visiting the Russian-occupied territory of the Luhansk region. Lebedev twice tried to challenge the ban, but he was refused, explaining the decision by his anti-Ukrainian position and support for the ideology of the “Russian world.”

Lebedev criticized the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine on his pages on social networks, and also supported the Russian occupation of Crimea. According to the designer, the presence of Crimea as part of Ukraine was a “historical misunderstanding.”
