Art goal when Liverpool outclassed the city rival:

Everton-Liverpool 1-4

Jordan Henderson, Mohamed Salah (2) and Diogo Jota all scored great goals when the city rival was swept by his own turf.

The most beautiful was Jota’s 4-1 scoring, said TV 2’s commentator team.

The big win also means that the Reds from Merseyside break a 94-year-old goal record. They are the first team in the English top division to score two goals or more in 18 straight games in all tournaments.

At the same time, Chelsea and Manchester City won their matches. Thus, Liverpool is still in third place, two points behind Chelsea at the top.

Two-goal scorer Salah is very pleased with the performance.

– A brilliant result. Coming here, winning the match, playing good football and scoring four goals is incredible. It is something positive to take with us from the match, says the Egyptian with a smile to British TV.

Salah not entirely happy

Manager Jürgen Klopp reveals that the goal machine was not completely satisfied with his own performance, despite two goals.

– He was angry after the match.

– Was he?

– Yes, he would score a third goal. I do not know exactly what situation, but who cares. Everything is fine. Such are attacking players, Klopp answers and laughs at British TV.

The German praises the players after the big win.

– A very good match by us. A very mature show. Much better than previous years, especially here at Goodison, says the Liverpool boss.

Liverpool gave gas from the first kick on the ball. The Reds from Anfield burned three great chances before seven minutes were played.

Only an imprecise Mohamed Salah and a good Jordan Pickford made it not 2- or 3-0. However, the Everton goalkeeper had to give up a few minutes later.

Jordan Henderson got a perfect hit from 16 meters and sent the Reds in the lead.

About ten minutes later, the same man was a waiter when Salah set his twelfth league goal of the season.

Then some Everton supporters, who are already starting to get tired of Rafael Benítez, chose to leave Goodison Park.

They may have regretted it if they checked the result during the break. About five minutes before the change of sides, Demarai Gray lit the hopes for the hosts – and set fire to the home supporters.

Jürgen Klopp hurried into the locker room when the referee signaled for a break, knowing that the victory was anything but safe.

Mistake ruined

However, much of the hope was destroyed around 20 minutes into the second half. Experienced Séamus Coleman messed with the ball in his own defense. Salah intercepted it, ran from the center line to the 16-meter and tapped in 3-1.

When Diogo Jota put in 4-1 with an art goal, the hope was more or less out for Everton.
