Arsenal have apparently been ahead of Everton in the race to sign Tariq Lamptey, according to a report.
Both the Gunners and Carlo Ancelotti’s team have been strongly linked with a summer play for the 20-year-old defender.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that it is prudent to “keep an eye on Arsenal” despite Lamptey signing a new contract with Brighton in January.
And according to The Sun, North Londoners are now ‘pioneers’ in signing the young right-back.

Arsenal may need a new player for that job in the long run amid speculation that Hector Bellerin could leave the club this summer.
